Easy to Use

No training, complicated procedures, or toxic chemicals required.

How it Works

The FRED biological system comes in two parts: a cartridge, for sample addition containing all the reagents needed to run the test, and a portable detector, which measures and reports the results. When a water sample is added to the cartridge, the engineered bacteria detects the chemical and produces an electrochemical signal.

Simply fill the cartridge, place into the detector device, and wait. The detector will automatically incubate the test and, in about one hour, measure and report the resulting chemical concentration either through 3G, Wi-Fi, or USB connection on a computer, mobile device, or server.
